Mt. Everest

Mt. Everest

Everest -A time lapse short film from Elia Saikaly on Vimeo.

I’ve never been a mountain climber.  I don’t have the strength, endurance or the desire to undertake extreme sports in extreme locations.  I can appreciate what a great story it can make though.  For this Mt. Everest ascent, Elia Saikaly almost lost his life.  He did come across the frozen remains of another climber who did.  He shares the harrowing tail of what it took to get this spectacular footage on his website here: Into The Death Zone.

One of the most rewarding parts of the journey for Elia was being able to share it with thousands of students on epals.com/everest

This time lapse video is comprised of thousands of photographs, processed and assembled on Mt. Everest.  It is an amazing collection of imagery, masterfully captured under the most extreme conditions imaginable, and excellently put together.
