Look Up, Shake Up, Wake Up

Look Up, Shake Up, Wake Up

Published on Apr 25, 2014

How many times do you need to be told that the real Social is the social of meeting people face to face.  That is why they call them “Socials.”  Or we used to, I probably should say.  Sadly, the days of being truly social are at an all time low, our lives instead consumed by staying “connected” to our mobile devices.  So I ask you, are we connected, or are we enslaved?  I think Gary Turk and I see the world in pretty much the same way.  We see the world, not the fantasy some would have us see.  There is only one reality, with currently about three billion different interpretations of it, and still growing.

‘Look Up’ – A spoken word film for an online generation.

‘Look Up’ is a lesson taught to us through a love story, in a world where we continue to find ways to make it easier for us to connect with one another, but always results in us spending more time alone.

Written, Performed & Directed by Gary Turk.

Featuring Louise Ludlam & Stuart Darnley.
Original score by New Desert Blues.
Sound engineering by Daniel Cobb.
Filmed and edited by Gary Turk.
