A7R – The First Hour
Hot off the truck and right into my welcoming hands, my pre-ordered new Sony A7R came in today. I had to run right down to Samy’s Camera and pick it up. Of course, immediate still and video clips were required. First impression is – this is a pretty special camera. All still images here are JPG, just as they came from the card. I’ll be posting plenty more where these came from soon, including a full test of my Leica M & Contax Zeiss Glass, so stay tuned!
Sony A7R First Video Test from TheCameraForum on Vimeo.
As the title says, this is the first video test done standing right there in Samys Camera with the A7R camera with a Leica M 35mm f2 Pre-ASPH. Everything is set to default on the A7R just as it came out of the box. No grading or adjustments. This footage is just as it came from the camera. The stills below are also shot as default JPG Fines, and are cropped and lightly sharpened a tad (not that they really needed it, more of as a test than out of necessity).
Many thanks to Frank and all the folks at Samys Camera on Fairfax St. for putting up with my antics and for supporting my camera addictions ;=)
