Sigma DP Merrill

Sigma DP Merrill

Here’s Chris Niccolls from TheCameraStore in Calgary, Alberta, & Nick Devlin, renowned  landscape photographer and columnist on Luminous Landscape, testing the Sigma DP1 and DP2 Merrill edition cameras.  While certainly not for everyone, these horrible little cameras produce absolutely stunning landscape photographs.  I particularly like Nick Devlin’s comment that shooting a DP Merrill is about the same as using a 4×5 camera.  Both seem to have a lot of limitations and workflow challenges, and both produce stunning results.

Please don’t miss Uwe Steinmueller’s excellent review of the Merrill at http://www.outbackphoto.net/news/2012/10/18/sigma-dp2-merrill-field-report.html
